MU Online Wing Cores Guide – Crafting, Upgrading & Options
Wing Cores are socketable upgrade items exclusive to Lv. 5 wings, introduced in Season 19 Part 2. Think of them as a jewel socket for your endgame wings: each core adds flat attack / wizardry / curse damage (+50 at +0, scaling to +273 at +15) plus up to two random elemental options — and unlike everything else in MU Online, cores are never destroyed on a failed upgrade.
This guide covers all ten Pure Wing Cores, exactly how to craft them, the full +1 to +15 upgrade table with costs, and which wings each core fits.

How to Craft a Wing Core
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Ruud Shop — 50,000 Ruud | |
| Combination materials | Blueprint + Jewel of Bless ×100 + Jewel of Soul ×100 + Jewel of Creation ×100 + Jewel of Chaos ×100 + |
| Success chance | 70% |
| Result | A random core type with random options — you cannot choose which core you get |
Wing Core Options
| Option type | At +0 | At +15 |
|---|---|---|
| Basic option | Attack / Wizardry / Curse +50 | Attack / Wizardry / Curse +273 |
| Random options (0–2, rolled at craft) | Elemental ATK +170, Elemental DEF +100, Elemental ATK/DEF success rate +125, Elemental ATK (II) +240, Elemental DEF (II) +210, Elemental success rates (II) +200, Extra Nuke DMG +120, Extra Bolt DMG +80, Extra Wide DMG +40, Extra DMG Reduction +50 | |
The random options plug directly into the elemental (Pentagram) system, which makes a well-rolled core a massive PvP upgrade — a core with double elemental attack options is worth far more than its crafting cost on any active server.

How to Equip and Remove Wing Cores
Alt + right-click a Lv. 5 wing in your inventory to open the Lv. 5 Wings UI, then drag the core into the socket. Cores can only be socketed and removed while the wing is in your inventory, not while equipped. To remove a core, right-click it or drag it back out of the UI — removal is free and the core is not lost.
Are Wing Cores Worth It?
Yes — once you own Lv. 5 wings, cores are the single best Ruud investment in the game. The blueprint route costs about 50,000 Ruud plus 400 jewels per attempt at 70%, and even a +0 core with a good elemental roll outperforms most pentagram upgrades. Upgrade stones are cheap through +7 (guaranteed-ish at 90%), so a realistic budget target for most players is a +7 core with one or two elemental options; push to +15 only when Ruud stops being a bottleneck.

FAQ
Can I choose which core I craft?
No — the blueprint combination produces a random core type with random options. Trade with other players for the core your wings need.
Can a core be destroyed?
Never. Failed upgrades only lower the level (+1–+7) or reset it (+8–+15).
How many cores can one wing hold?
One core per Lv. 5 wing on standard settings.
Where do Feathers of Uriel come from?
Rare drops in Elite Zones — the same material used for the Lv. 5 wing craft itself.
Do Wing Cores work on 4th level wings?
No — cores are exclusive to Lv. 5 wings and capes.
