MU Online Season 10 – Grow Lancer, Ruud & Bloodangel Gear
Season X (2015–16) is where modern MU begins: the Grow Lancer arrived, and Part 2 quietly launched the systems every server lives on today — Ruud, the Ruud shop and the first Bloodangel mastery sets. Part 3 finished the elemental endgame with the Errtel of Radiance and Skill Imprint. From the original patch notes with the original artwork.
The Grow Lancer
The last lancer of the imperial royal knights, weaving lance, shield and Arka's spatial magic. Unlock: a level 200+ character on the account; starts in Lorencia with HP 110 / MP 40, STR 30, AGI 30, VIT 25, ENE 24. Class line: Grow Lancer → Mirage Lancer — no 1st or 2nd class, she enters at the 3rd-class power curve.
| Build | Identity |
|---|---|
| Strength | Heavy hits for hunting, brutal PvP damage — scales her Retribution special attack power |
| Agility | Attack speed farming plus high elemental damage — scales her Rage special attack power |

Grow Lancer Items
She shares low-tier daggers and axes (Kris, Short Sword, Rapier, Small/Hand Axe) and classic shields — then graduates into her own arsenal, each piece with original lore:
| Lance | Original lore | |
|---|---|---|
![]() | Lapid Lance | Engraved by the royal knights who faced Balrog in the Lost Tower — the pattern turned every blade black with Kundun's power |
![]() | Conmocion Lance | Holds Black Ritch's lightning, sealed in Karutan — only the Grow Lancer ever tamed its force |
![]() | Pluma Lance | Forged from the legendary Condor's feathers — soft and razor-sharp at once, made to still a heart in one thrust |
![]() | Prickle Lance | The Karutan–Arka academic alliance's answer to the mutation virus — barbed to cut breath from mutants |
![]() | Alacran Lance | Temple knight weapon of the Kalutan royal guard, built from region scorpions — the split tip severs tendons |

Five armor pieces, lance main hand, shield off hand — and Part 2 extended her master tree to full depth. Her modern place among the classes: classes overview.
Ruud & the First Mastery Gear
![]() | Ruud debuts as a character-bound currency shown right under your zen: no trading, no personal shops, no vault, no dropping. It spends at one place only — Priest James, who sells sealed Bloodangel set items for your own class only. Bought pieces can't be resold for Ruud — just vendored for zen. Every rule that defines the modern Ruud economy was written here. |
| Ruud rule (original notes) | Details |
|---|---|
| The lore | Ruud is named after a god: coined by Priest James, one of the twelve apostles empowered by Lugard, to trade items blessed by the god of light — a currency that "cannot be bought, only earned through MU's trials" |
| Earning it | Ruud comes from Mastery Boxes — the red, blue and green chests dropped by event maps: Chaos Castle, Blood Castle, Devil Square, Illusion Temple, Doppelganger and Imperial Guardian: Barka |
| Claiming | Right-click a Mastery Box to open it — Ruud auto-credits, behaving exactly like zen and shown in the inventory (I/V) beneath it |
| Spending | Only at Priest James, only on sealed Bloodangel items for your own class; purchases can never be re-sold for Ruud |
| Set | Original stats (normal → exc/set) |
|---|---|
![]() Bloodangel Knight (Blade Master) | DEF 58–85 → 96–135; STR up to 933 on the armor |
![]() Bloodangel Wizard (Grand Master) | DEF 40–53 → 77–100; built for the caster stat line |
Bloodangel shipped for all eight classes — Knight, Wizard, Elf, Summoner, Magic, Lord, Fighter and Lancer — in three variants: normal (field drops in Debenter and Uruk Mountain), excellent, and ancient-style set versions from the sealed Ruud shop items. The lore sells it: armor for knights who began worshipping the sword itself, its white the god's protection, its red the angel's blood spilled on the road to victory. This is the Bloodangel tier that still anchors the mastery ladder today.

The Elemental Expansion & Errtel of Radiance
| Change | Details |
|---|---|
| Pentagram +15 | Pentagrams became enhanceable to +15; errtels formalized into level (options) and rank (all active ranks at +7 unlock a rank-up roll) — the system in our pentagram guide |
| NPC Adniel | Elemental combination moves to Adniel (Elbeland 37,215 / Acheron 38,216) with a preview window and instant repeat mixing |
| Disassembly | Sets and errtels break down into element dust → 50 dust auto-forms a capsule → capsules roll the Radiance Slot Expansion Scroll |
| Errtel of Radiance | Mounts in the new fifth slot. Rank 1: elemental ATK/DEF/rates · Rank 2: Shield Absorb, Lifesteal, Bastion (90% damage cut below 20% SD) · Rank 3: the PvP legends — Bleeding, Paralysis, Binding, Punishment, Blind |
| Fifth slot activation | Hold the Radiance Slot Expansion Scroll, move the pentagram to inventory, R + click to activate the slot — the golden frame on the pentagram ring confirms it. Owning a Radiance errtel does nothing until the slot itself is open |
| Element capsules | 50 element dust auto-converts into a capsule (needs 4×4 inventory space); capsules roll the Slot Expansion Scroll, the Spirit's Blessing, Errtel of Radiance pieces and mid-grade pentagrams |
| Spirit's Blessing | The golden feather that guarantees 100% errtel extraction from level 300+ pentagrams (the Season 8 elites and up) — pentagrams level 299 and below always extract free at 100%. The item that made Radiance rank-building economically sane |
Skill Imprint
The U-key skill window: register 5 basic skills (hotkeys 1–5) and 5 special/siege skills (6–0). Skills sharing your pentagram's element gain bonus skill damage scaling with the pentagram's enchant level and mounted errtels — marked by an element badge on the skill icon. Elements stopped being a side-game and started steering your rotation.
Everything Else in Season X
| Update | Details |
|---|---|
Evomon ![]() | Drop an Evomon Summon Scroll on the ground (field maps only — no safe zones or event maps) and a level 1 Evomon spawns, owned by you. Kill it within the time limit and it evolves by chance: +1 level per stage, jumping +4 per stage past level 30, up to 69. A failed evolution ends the chain but pays a reward matching the level reached — and during any evolution a golden Special Evomon can appear, paying premium loot to you and your whole party. The evolve-your-loot loop every later egg event copied |
| Plaza of Trials (Battle) | The Season 9 – Battle Core duo survival league moved onto Battle Core rotation |
| Master skill fixes | Tree corrections across classes, plus the Grow Lancer's full expansion in Part 2 |
| Drop rework | Skill books, orbs and scrolls re-zoned by hunting ground (starter spells in starter towns, class lines split across Devias/Dungeon/Lost Tower/Kalima bands) — consumables anchored to low maps |
| Event map renewal & QoL | Event rewards modernized, exp curve smoothed, cash buff durations stackable to 50 days |

FAQ
Where can I play Season 10?
Browse the Season 10 private servers listed — and Ruud-era content ships in every later version.
Why does the Grow Lancer skip class quests?
By design she starts at the 3rd-class curve (Grow → Mirage Lancer) — the template later used for Rune Wizard, Slayer and the rest.
Is Bloodangel worth it over socket gear?
Yes past level 400 — it opens the mastery ladder that later tiers (Darkangel onward) upgrade from. Never skip it.
Which Radiance rank 3 debuff is best?
Paralysis for duels, Bleeding for damage checks, Blind against rate-stacked tanks — the debate started in 2016 and never ended.
