MU Online Season 6 – Rage Fighter, Karutan & Master Renewal
Season 6 (2011) is the version half the private-server world still lives in — the final form of classic MU. Part 1 delivered the Rage Fighter, the desert map Karutan, new sets and daily quests; Part 2 rebuilt the master skill tree and armed the endgame with Phoenix Soul and Eternal Wing gear. Rebuilt here from the original patch notes with the original artwork.
Looking for a Season 6 server?
Season 6 Episode 3 is the most widely run version in the MU Online private server scene. It is the version most players mean by "classic" — feature-complete through Rage Fighter and the Master skill renewal, without the later seasons' power creep.
Browse Season 6 serversAll MU serversSeason 6 Episode 1, 2 and 3
Season 6 shipped in three parts, and private servers almost always advertise which one they run. Episode 3 is the one most people mean when they say "Season 6".
| Episode | What it added |
|---|---|
| Episode 1 | The Rage Fighter class, the Karutan maps, new set items and the daily quest system. |
| Episode 2 | The Master skill renewal — a rebuilt master skill tree — plus new gear and weekly quests. |
| Episode 3 | The final and most complete build. This is the standard reference point for "Season 6" servers and the version most classic private servers run. |
Why Season 6 Is the Private Server Standard
| Reason | Detail |
|---|---|
| Feature-complete, not bloated | All nine classic classes through Rage Fighter, the full master skill tree, and the classic event set — without 5th class changes, artifacts or mastery ladders to balance around. |
| Stable files | Season 6 server files have been maintained and debugged for well over a decade, so servers built on them tend to be more stable than newer-season ones. |
| The nostalgia version | For most long-time players Season 6 is the MU they remember, which is why it keeps drawing populations that newer seasons do not. |
| Easier to gear | Progression tops out at ancient sets and excellent items rather than a ten-tier mastery chain, so a casual player can realistically compete. |
If you are choosing between versions: pick Season 6 for classic gameplay and larger populations, or Season 21 for the newest content and classes like the Crusader.
The Rage Fighter

Heir to the martial arts of the fallen kingdom Kalutan, passed down by the descendants of its royal knight order. A close-range fighter in the DK/MG mold who pairs strikes with debuffs — planting fear in enemies to sap their power — and detonates the divine beast's force for lethal effect even at range.

| Start | Lorencia |
| Base stats | HP 100 / MP 40 · STR 32, AGI 27, VIT 25, ENE 20 |

| Playstyle | Original design notes |
|---|---|
| Solo | VIT build: heavy single-target damage + debuff kiting. ENE build: AoE farming with self-buffs |
| Party | ENE build buffs the whole party's defense rate and vitality — the melee buffer MU never had |
| PvP | ENE scaling raises divine power and skill rates; Dragon Slasher can neutralize the enemy's SD and hit HP directly |
| Siege | Buff support plus PvP skills that shut down key figures — commanders and guild masters |

Both capes are mixed in the Chaos Goblin's regular combination and roll random cape options: the Cape of Fighter one of three (HP +50+5/lvl, mana +50+5/lvl, or 3% ignore enemy defense), the Cape of Overrule one of four 5%-chance procs — ignore-defense strikes, damage return, full HP recovery when hit, or full mana recovery when hit.
A signature quirk from the original notes: with wings (or the Fist Master cape) equipped, RF skills burn HP per hit — Killing Blow 2 HP × 4 hits, Chain Drive 4 × 8, Dragon Slasher a flat 100. The fighter literally pays in blood for flight.

Daily Quests (Part 1)
MU's first true daily system, for levels 350–400: register as a free mercenary with Tersia in Devias (200,000 zen once), then pay a 50,000 zen deposit for the day's Level 1 Request Form — a different contract each weekday, usable in town only:
| Day | Quest | Rewards (one at random) |
|---|---|---|
| Mon / Thu | The Underwater Temple — meet Veina in Kalima 6 | 500k exp, Jewel of Soul/Bless, red light box |
| Tue / Fri | The Stubborn Merchant — find the peddler Zairo touring the towns | 1M zen, Jewel of Soul/Life, green light box |
| Wed / Sat | Glory of the Family — visit your Gens steward | 500 Gens contribution, Jewel of Creation/Chaos, violet light box |
| Sun | The Guild's Secret — Tersia's own errand | 1M exp, Jewel of Chaos, red + violet boxes |
The colored light boxes are thrown on the ground to burst into items — the ancestor of every daily-reward chest on modern servers.
Master Skill Renewal (Part 2)
Part 2 tore down the Season 3 tree and built the system servers use today: three trees instead of four, every skill upgradeable to rank 20 at 1 point per rank. The trees follow one blueprint for every class:

The renewed three-tree window (Blade Master shown)
| Tree | Character | Contents |
|---|---|---|
| Protection | Defensive passives — identical for all classes | Durability reduction I–III, PvP defense rate, max SD & SD recovery, mana/HP/AG regeneration, defense & defense rate, poison/lightning/ice resistance |
| Valor (class-named) | Active skill enhancement | Strengtheners and masteries for the class's own skills |
| Rage (class-named) | Offensive passives & buffs | Weapon-type strengtheners/masteries, buff upgrades, on-kill sustain |
The renewed class trees in full, translated from the original notes (ranks 1–5 as revealed at launch; the Fist Master's followed the same pattern):

Part 2 also added the expansion quests every S6 player remembers: level 50 — the Ancient Statue from Death Knights buys a Warehouse Expansion Certificate; levels 150 and 300 — Magic Cloth (Silver Valkyrie) and Cloth of Space (Alquamos) each earn a Magic Backpack inventory expansion (relog after use to activate). And the quality-of-life pass: right-click moves items in trade, zen trades up to 9 digits, Gens chat with the $ prefix, chat channel hotkeys F2/F6–F9, and parties surviving a disconnect for 5 minutes.

The Season 6 Event Clock
These are the default schedules shipped in the Season 6 Episode 3 server files. Servers edit them, but almost all of them start from this timetable, which is why Blood Castle on half past the hour and Devil Square on even hours feel familiar on every S6 realm you join.
| Event | Starts (server time) | Length | What happens |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blood Castle | 00:10, 00:40, 01:10, 01:40, 02:10, 02:40 … (22/day) | 15 min | Seven levels plus the Master round; escort the Archangel weapon out before the clock runs down. |
| Chaos Castle | 01:00, 15:00, 17:00, 19:00, 21:00, 23:00 | 10 min | Free-for-all on a shrinking floor - last player standing takes the prize. |
| Devil Square | 00:00, 02:00, 04:00, 06:00, 08:00, 10:00 … (12/day) | 20 min | Seven exp rooms, 10 players per room, ranked by score at the end. |
| Illusion Temple | 01:00, 05:00, 09:00, 16:00, 19:00, 21:00 … (7/day) | 15 min | Two teams race to 7 match points; the Fenrir upgrade drops here. |
| Crywolf | 02:10, 04:10 | — | Defend the altars against Balgass. Losing it disables the Crywolf buffs. |
| White Wizard Invasion | 02:00, 12:10, 18:00, 22:00 | 30 min | The White Wizard leads Destructive Ogre Soldiers into the towns. |
| Loren Deep (Balgass raid) | 20:00 | — | Three waves of Balgass minions in the Valley of Loren. |
| Selupan (Raklion Hatchery) | 00:00, 06:00, 12:00, 18:00 | — | Break 15 eggs to summon Selupan; the boss zone seals 300 seconds after. |
On top of the events there is a bonus window four times a day — 02:00–04:00, 08:00–10:00, 14:00–16:00, 20:00–22:00 — giving ×1.5 experience, +15% item drop and +5% excellent drop. Castle Siege runs on a 14-day cycle rather than a daily clock, and the Doppelganger and Imperial Guardian events are entered with mixed invitations — the Imperial Guardian invitation mix costs 1 000 000 zen and each of its four rounds gives you 10 minutes.
