MU Online Harmony Options – Jewel of Harmony & Refining
The Jewel of Harmony adds a third stat layer to your gear: on top of item level and excellent options, one harmony option rolls onto the item and then levels up separately through refining stones. A perfect harmony line is what separates a good endgame weapon from a best-in-slot one.
How the System Works
| Step | Details |
|---|---|
| 1. Get the jewel | Drops in Kanturu maps and from Kanturu event monsters; also in event boxes |
| 2. Apply to item | Use on a normal, excellent or socketed item — one random option from that slot's pool, success is not guaranteed on classic settings |
| 3. Refine | Upgrade the option's level (up to 14 on stat-type lines) with Lower/Higher Refining Stones at Osbourne/Elpis in Kanturu |
| Removal | Jeweler NPC removes an unwanted harmony option for zen — re-roll by applying a new jewel |
Weapon Harmony Options
| Option | Range (lvl 1–13/14) | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| Attack / Wizardry increase | +6 → +14 (staffs % based) | Top PvM pick |
| Skill attack increase | +10 → +50 | Best for skill spammers |
| Attack speed increase | +7 | Only until breakpoints are hit |
| Critical damage increase | +10 → +30 | Solid with high crit rate |
| Shield defense ignore rate | 3% → 15% | The PvP king vs SD builds |
| SD decrement / min-max ATK | varies | Situational filler |
Armor Harmony Options
| Option | Range | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| Defense increase | +5 → +14 | Default pick on every piece |
| Damage decrease | 3% → 7% | Best PvP line, stacks across pieces |
| Max HP / Max SD increase | varies | Great on classes with % HP scaling |
| SD recovery / AG increase | varies | Caster utility |
| Defense success rate | varies | Filler unless meta favors it |
Refining Stones
Stones are crafted from spare items at the Kanturu NPC: normal items feed Lower stones, excellent items feed Higher stones — MU's original recycling system. Lower stones are cheap with modest success; Higher stones roughly double it. Failed refines knock the option down (or off) depending on server settings, so most players refine with Higher stones from level 5+ upward. Refining is where the real cost of harmony lies — a level 13–14 option burns hundreds of stones.
Best Rolls per Build
Melee PvM: Skill Attack on weapon, Defense on armor. Casters: Wizardry % on staff — the single strongest harmony line in the game. PvP: Shield Defense Ignore on weapon, Damage Decrease everywhere else. Budget: keep any Defense/HP roll and refine to ~10; chasing perfect rolls on five pieces is a jewel sink best left for late game. Pair harmony hunting with the jewels guide economy: on most servers a clean Jewel of Harmony trades well above Bless.
Every Harmony Option – Values by Refine Level
Exact numbers from the server’s harmony option file. Weight is the relative chance of rolling that line when the Jewel of Harmony is applied; Lv is the minimum item level the option needs; the value columns are what the line gives at each refining step (+0 is the freshly rolled option, each further step costs a Refining Stone and the listed Zen).

Refining is safe for the item — a failed step destroys the Refining Stone, never the item or the option. Option value never drops.
