MU Online Class Quests – 2nd, 3rd & 4th Class Change

Class evolution is the spine of MU Online progression: each quest unlocks a stronger class, new skills, and access to the next wing tier. This guide walks through all of them — the level 150 quest items, the wandering Marlon, the Balgass chain at 400 and the modern 800 evolution.

2nd Class Quest (Level 150)

Talk to Sebina the Priest in the Devias bar. She wants the Scroll of Emperor plus your class item, both random drops from monsters roughly level 140+ (Losttower and deeper; both can also be bought from players):

Summoner uses the equivalent Summoner item on servers that include her; MG, DL, RF, GL and the newer classes skip the 2nd quest entirely — they start as evolved classes. The quest items are consumed; keep the Zen fee (~2–3M) ready. Reward: class evolution, +extra stat points per level on classic settings, and the plus-skill tier of your class.

Marlon Quest (Level 220)

Marlon wanders — check Devias entrance, Atlans gate and Lorencia bar until you find him. He runs the Ring of Glory / Dark Stone chain: bring the quest ring, then (for Dark Knights) the Dark Stone from Death King in the Land of Trials-era content. Rewards by class: Dark Knight unlocks the Combo skill — still the biggest single damage unlock in classic MU — while other classes receive stat quests. On many modern servers this chain is simplified into the guided quest UI.

3rd Class Quest (Level 380–400)

The Balgass chain from Priest Devin in Crywolf, in three acts: (1) collect proof items dropped in Barracks of Balgass (entered through Crywolf), (2) hunt the deeper Refuge monsters, (3) defeat the Dark Elf and report back. Requirements: level 380+ (400 for instant completion on some versions) and completed 2nd class. Rewards: master class (Blade Master, Grand Master, High Elf…), the master skill tree, and eligibility for 3rd level wings — whose Condor materials drop in the same maps, so keep farming after the quest.

4th Class Quest (Level 800, Season 17+)

Delivered automatically through the quest interface at level 800: a kill-and-collect chain in the newest maps, no wandering NPCs. Completion evolves you to the 4th class (Dragon Knight, Soul Wizard, Noble Elf…), unlocks the 4th-class skill enhancements and opens 4th level wings at the same breakpoint.

FAQ

Can I buy quest items from other players?
Yes — Scroll of Emperor and the class items are tradeable and usually cheap in player shops.

Do all classes have a 2nd class quest?
No — only DK, DW, Elf and Summoner. MG, DL, RF, GL and newer classes start pre-evolved.

What level should I actually do the 3rd quest?
Most players wait until 400 so the whole chain clears in one session — the Barracks monsters hit hard at 380.

Is the master skill tree worth grinding?
Absolutely — master levels continue past 400 and the tree's damage/defense nodes outscale gear upgrades per hour invested.
