MU Online 3rd Level Wings Guide – How to Craft Level 3 Wings
3rd level wings are the endgame wings of classic MU Online and still the most prestigious craft on most servers: +39% damage, 39% damage absorption and the highest defense of any craftable wing tier. They require level 400 and a 3rd class (master) character — and the combination is the most expensive and riskiest in the game.
This guide lists every 3rd level wing and cape for all classes, then walks through the full crafting process: Condor Feather, Condor Flame, materials and success rate tips.

All require character level 400 and give +39% damage / 39% absorb. Names in parentheses are the alternative names used on official servers — some servers use one, some the other. On older versions you may also see Wing of Storm / Wing of Eternal / Wing of Illusion in singular form.
Bonus: Wings of Conqueror
Wings of Conqueror is a special level 400 event wing wearable by every class (DEF 60). It is usually time-limited, cannot be traded or upgraded, and comes from events or promotions — a handy stopgap while you farm materials for your real 3rd level wings.
How to Make 3rd Level Wings (Chaos Machine)
1Prepare a 2nd level wing
The base material is any 2nd level wing — most servers require it at +9 or higher with at least +4 additional option. As always, the result is random, so the cheapest qualifying wing works.
2Farm the Condor materials
| Image | Material | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Condor Feather | Drops from monsters in the Barracks of Balgass (entered through Crywolf after completing the Balgass quest chain) | |
| Condor Flame | Drops from the Dark Elf in the Refuge of Balgass; many servers also add it to boss and event rewards |
3Combine in the Chaos Machine
Bring everything to the Chaos Goblin Machine in Noria: 2nd level wing (+9 +4opt) + Condor Feather + Condor Flame + Jewel of Chaos + Jewel of Creation + Jewel of Soul (plus a hefty Zen fee). On success you receive a random 3rd level wing or cape.
Crafting on Modern Servers (Season 18+)
Newer seasons streamline this through the Chaos Goblin's [Wings (Cape) Craft] menu with two routes: combine a 2nd level wing and materials into a Lv. 3 Wing Divine Object and then run the Lv. 3 combination, or use a Condor's Feather directly in the Lv. 3 Wing Combination. Both produce a random 3rd level wing or cape of any class.
Success Rate & Cost Tips
Because the rate is capped low, 3rd wings are where fortunes are lost. Three rules keep the cost sane. First, never overinvest in the base wing — a cheap 2nd wing at exactly +9+4opt gives the same rate contribution as an expensive excellent one. Second, stockpile before you mix: seasoned crafters gather two or three full material sets before attempting, because streaks of failure are normal at 40%. Third, watch for Chaos Machine rate events — many private servers run +10–20% combination bonuses on weekends, which is effectively free money on a craft this expensive.
Wing Progression Path
The full wing path: small wings (level 1) → 1st level wings (level 150–180) → 2nd level wings (level 215) → 2.5 level wings (level 290, optional) → 3rd level wings (level 400) → 4th level wings (level 800 on the newest seasons).
